Wall and floor tiling

Large format, wood-effect and mosaic feature tiling, cut and finished neatly around every fitting. We've tiled bathrooms in large grey tiles across the floor and walls, grey wood-effect wall tiles, and cream tiling with a mosaic border around a bath and toilet. A patterned grey and white floor tile has gone in under a plain white bath, and white metro tiles behind a shower. Tiling is cut around the bath, basin and pipework rather than boxed over, so the finish stays neat right up to every fitting.

Picking your tiles

Large format tiles mean fewer grout lines and a cleaner look; a mosaic border or feature strip breaks up a plain wall without covering the whole room in pattern. Floor tiles need a different finish to wall tiles, since they have to cope with being walked on wet. Grout colour makes a real difference to how a tiled wall reads: a close match keeps the tiles looking continuous, while a contrasting line turns the pattern itself into a feature. Wood-effect tiles give the warmth of real wood with none of the upkeep a wet room demands of actual timber.
